Sweet Potato the Video Game: Coming Soon!

Sweet Potato was born from a collection of doodles, characters, and small ideas that, over time, formed their own universe. Today, that kawaii and funky world, full of color and Japanese pop culture influences, is starting to come to life through a cozy video game currently in development. 🍠✨

Our goal is to create a place you can step into and simply feel comfortable. A world inhabited by characters with their own personalities, tastes, and little stories, where each one will have different interactions and activities to discover. We want Sweet Potato to feel like one of those small worlds you can return to time and again, finding something new in every corner.

Behind all of this, there are just two people: Maria Ivanova Beselinoff Villeda, in charge of world building, art, animation, and creative direction; and Kevin Jose Moriglione Aguirre, in charge of turning all those ideas into a video game from the technical development side. We are two young Hondurans and, above all, best friends who decided to take something that started as drawings and turn it into a real project.

And there is still so much left to build. 🛠️🌱

Sweet Potato is an independent project made by a very small team, so making progress takes time. Currently, besides developing the game, we attend anime conventions in the UK, where we bring our merchandise to help finance part of the project. It is also an incredible opportunity to meet the people who have started becoming part of this small community and to share what we are creating with you.

On our social media, we share glimpses of the process: new characters, illustrations, animations, game progress, products, and sneak peeks of how this universe is taking shape.
